Zimbali Lodge By Dream Resorts, Umhlali

I had a lovely stay at the resort, with a spacious room that was both comfortable and clean. The wildlife and facilities throughout the estate made for a relaxing experience. However, I did have some issues with the air quality in the room and found the dining options limited, especially concerning breakfast. Overall, it's a great place, but a few areas need improvement.

The lodge has a charming ambiance and offers great service, especially from staff like Nombuso and Joel, who went out of their way to assist us. However, the rooms left much to be desired due to an unpleasant moldy smell. While the pool and bar area were enjoyable, the overall experience was affected by the room issues. Not the best value for money given the state of the lodge rooms, I ended up paying extra for a more comfortable stay at the Fairmont Resort.

I recently attended a wedding reception at this venue, and it was truly a memorable experience. The event was well organized and the catering exceeded my expectations. The vibrant mix of Greek, Argentinian, and South African cultures made for a joyful atmosphere. However, on a separate visit, I was disappointed with the maintenance of the lodge and the internet connectivity issues, which detracted from my overall experience. The location itself is ideal for a getaway but the lack of upkeep was concerning.

This hotel has a lovely serene atmosphere, surrounded by lush trees that make for a peaceful retreat. However, my experience was marred by issues like the outdated room condition, poor service and lack of attention to maintenance. While the beauty of the setting was appreciated, I cannot overlook the shortcomings in cleanliness and overall service, which did not meet my expectations for a resort of this caliber.
